2. Client-Side Calculations Architecture

Our calculation engine is built entirely in TypeScript and JavaScript that downloads to your browser as part of the webpage payload. When you drag a slider, type a weight, or toggle units (Metric to Imperial), the mathematical computations execute in the memory of your local web browser. No server request containing your numbers is dispatched.

3. Browser Local Storage Disclosure (Weight Tracker)

The Private Weight Tracker tool allows you to log historical weigh-ins and visualize SVG trend graphs. This feature uses your browser's native Web Storage API (localStorage):

• All logged dates, weights, and notes reside solely on your device.
• HOW WEIGHT servers never receive or hold backups of your tracker logs.
• You can permanently erase all stored log data at any moment by clearing your browser cache or deleting individual rows in the tool.

4. Log Files and Aggregate Technical Analytics

Like virtually all modern web servers, our hosting infrastructure automatically collects standard technical log files when you access our website. This data includes:

• Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (anonymized for telemetry).
• Browser type and operating system version.
• Date, time stamp, referring URLs, and pages visited.
• Aggregate error reporting to monitor website performance and uptime.

This information is used strictly to administer the site, prevent malicious denial-of-service attacks, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
